A few days ago we were able to attend an Oracle event, about Oracle WebCenter; and, in addition to telling us about the tool, we were able to share the (positive) experience of some of its customers who have chosen to use this tool.
The intervention of the technical speakers is undoubtedly interesting, but the contribution that the guests could give us with their success stories has no comparison.
In this sense, the intervention of the Director of Bilbao Turismo (Mercedes Rodríguez) caused me a special interest, who with a more than pleasant way of telling her experience, made us see the importance of the involvement of marketing people in projects of this type (renovation of the website) as well as the separation (in her opinion) of the design part of the computer scientists.
In this event we hear numerous concepts that are increasingly the order of the day: Digital Native, Responsive Design, the Post-PC Era ….
They gave us some tips to expand our business to the many markets: To increase revenue, we have and must expand into new markets!
- Information must be shared efficiently.
72% of customers have 3 or more content managements, which raises the question, how can we have all the information consolidated?
Unify – Manage – Make use of it
If we want to increase the loyalty of our customers, we will have to develop new ways of relating to relevant content based on the user’s social and mobile context.
- Hammingbird. A smart search engine
No longer searched by keyword! now the semantics (expressions) are used, what is intended is to bring the search engine closer to the user himself: “Talk to the search engine”
Some statistical numbers:
- 70% of users will conduct their business through small devices in 2018.
- 77% of users have used their mobile devices to research or search for products and/or services. When you find information, share it!
Finally tell you, that we also have the presence of Pepe Cerezo, who illustrated us with some reflections for the new digital year; He reviewed some of the most relevant topics of 2014, from wearables (electronic devices that are designed to always wear them) to virtual money (Bitcoin); going through drones, which according to Wikipedia is an unmanned aerial vehicle; o the Internet of Things: the new business model that is already implemented “things connect and interact”, the latter will generate new and unsuspected business opportunities and alliances; And it leads us to a final reflection:
“Whoever has a good database, has a treasure”
If data is the engine of the Web, then
