Drilldowns

The drilldown provides the user with the ability to navigate to another view, teaching more information about the field of the linked list applet.

Drilldown-enabled fields are identified by blue and underlined text, in the manner of hypertext links in web browsers.

Drilldowns are only configured for list applets.

There are two types of drilldowns:

• Static
• Dynamic

The Static always take us to the same destination view, while the dynamic ones take us to one view or another according to a condition.

How do you set up a dynamic drilldown?

Let's imagine that in the "SIS Account List Applet" applet we want to configure the Name field so that the drilldown goes to one page or another according to the type of account.

1. In the Siebel Tools, select in the applet "SIS Account List Applet";
   • We select the Drilldown Object and expand it;
   • In the drilldown object we create the records
     • One that directs us to the default view, when the conditions declared in the Drilldown Destination son are false
       • Name: Account Type Customer;
       • Hyperlink Field: Name;
       • View: SIS OM Customer Account Portal View;
       • Sequence: 10
     • And another that directs us to the view in case the condition is not met
       • Name: Account Type Business Customer;
       • Hyperlink Field: Name;
       • View: Pharma Account Affiliations View;
       • Sequence: 20;
     • Now we position the focus on the Account Type Customer record, select the Dynamic Drilldown Destination (child of Drilldown Object) and create a new record;
       • Name: Account Type Business Customer
       • Field: Account Type
       • Value: Business Customer
       • Destination Drilldown Object: Account Type Business Customer
       • Sequence: 1
