Oracle has introduced to the market the solution to ensure multi-device access: Siebel OpenUI. It is a new way of presenting the Siebel application with which the traditional problems with browsers and their configuration are solved both for access from PCs and from mobile devices.
It can be installed on any version of Siebel from 8.1.1, with the application of patch 8.1.1.9, or patch 8.2.2.2 for which Siebel 8.2.2 is installed. The patch must be applied to the Enterprise, Web Server, Web Client and Tools.
After applying the patch and other configurations, you can use the two versions of siebel, the current one and the OpenUI one, since a new Object Manager is created for the OpenUI version.
